Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles

Game context
Both AL East clubs remain firmly in the Wild Card hunt as the Red Sox (75-64) visit the Orioles (69-70) for a four-game series at Camden Yards beginning September 3. Boston holds the second Wild Card spot while Baltimore sits just outside the final berth, making every outcome carry direct playoff implications. Jake Bennett (9-6, 3.27 ERA) opposes Brandon Young (9-3, 3.38 ERA) in the opener, with subsequent starters including Sonny Gray and Payton Tolle for Boston against Shane Baz and Kyle Bradish. Key injuries include Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras (hamstring) and catcher Adley Rutschman (elbow) plus Orioles outfielders Tyler O’Neill (shoulder) and Christian Franklin (hand). Recent form shows both clubs competitive in the AL East, with Boston holding a slight edge in the season series and road performance.
