Game context

Sri Lanka enter this Group B T20 Asia Cup clash as defending champions with strong recent momentum after a dominant nine-wicket win over UAE, powered by Chamari Athapaththu’s aggressive batting and effective bowling from Chethana Vimukthi and others. Indonesia, making their Asia Cup debut, suffered a heavy 71-run defeat to Bangladesh in their opener and have limited international experience against higher-ranked sides. Sri Lanka’s deeper batting resources and proven T20I pedigree create a significant mismatch, though the fresh Dubai pitch and Indonesia’s unchanged XI could influence early momentum in the night match. The enforced change of Kawya Kavindi for the injured Mithali Ayodhya is the only noted roster adjustment.
