Chile vs. USA
Game context
The United States men’s national team enters the September 29 friendly against Chile at Energizer Park in St. Louis with overwhelming trader backing at 95.5% implied probability, reflecting the home side’s deeper squad, recent round-of-16 World Cup experience, and continuity under Mauricio Pochettino. Chile, fielding an interim staff and coming off inconsistent results in 2026 friendlies and FIFA Series matches, faces a significant talent and organizational gap on the road. Home advantage, superior depth across positions, and strong recent form against CONCACAF and South American opposition reinforce the consensus. Even so, late injuries to key US players, a flat performance on short rest within the four-match window, or an inspired Chile counterattack on a good day could still shift the result in a single friendly.
