Soon-Woo Kwon enters the US Open qualifying clash against Dusan Lajovic with a clear edge in recent form and momentum, having captured three ATP Challenger titles in 2026 while posting a strong win-loss record around 32-9. The 28-year-old South Korean, ranked near No. 150, has also dominated their head-to-head 2-0 on hard courts. Lajovic, the 36-year-old Serbian ranked in the mid-160s, has endured a difficult 2026 campaign with limited success on the main tour. Both players compete on outdoor hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center under clear conditions, where Kwon's superior fitness, recent title-winning consistency, and stylistic advantages on the surface shape trader consensus around his implied probability of advancing from this qualifying quarterfinal.
