Benjamin Bonzi76Game context
Benjamin Bonzi holds the edge in this Canadian Open qualifying matchup on outdoor hard courts in Montreal, entering with a higher ATP ranking near 101 compared to Hugo Dellien’s 143 and a 1-0 head-to-head lead from their 2024 clay encounter. Bonzi arrives after a solid recent hard-court result in Vancouver, where he defeated Michael Mmoh in straight sets, while maintaining a 2026 win rate above 55 percent across surfaces. Dellien, primarily a clay-court player with limited hard-court success at this level, has posted mixed results in 2026 ATP and Challenger events, including early exits. The surface favors Bonzi’s consistent baseline play and experience in Masters-level qualifiers, though Dellien’s endurance could extend sets if he finds early rhythm. Trader consensus reflects these ranking and form disparities heading into the August 1 encounter.
