Cincinnati Open: Alexander Blockx vs Mariano Navone

Game context
Alexander Blockx holds a slight edge in this Cincinnati Open round-of-64 matchup on outdoor hard courts, reflecting his higher ranking at No. 32 versus Mariano Navone’s No. 44. Blockx enters after a straight-sets loss to Jiri Lehecka in Montreal, while Navone advanced past Raphael Collignon in the Cincinnati opener and has shown strong recent form with deep runs on the North American swing. Their lone prior meeting went to Navone in a three-setter at a March challenger event, giving the Argentine a narrow head-to-head advantage on the surface. Blockx’s youth and power game suit the faster hard-court conditions, yet Navone’s experience and ability to extend rallies create realistic upset potential in what projects as a competitive encounter.
