This market will resolve to "Yes" if FIFA sells an equity stake in FIFA Forward Enterprise, or in any other entity that holds commercial rights to or operates the FIFA World Cup, to one or more outside investors by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
An outside investor refers to any person not employed, or entity not owned or controlled, by FIFA, its member associations, or its confederations. A qualifying sale refers to an outside investor acquiring direct equity ownership, voting shares, convertible rights treated as equity, or equivalent ownership interests in the entity. Non-equity financial instruments, sponsorship agreements, broadcast rights agreements, and other commercial contracts that do not convey ownership in the entity will not count.
An official announcement by FIFA or by a purchasing investor of a completed qualifying sale, or of a binding agreement to complete a qualifying sale, within this market's timeframe will be sufficient to resolve this market to "Yes". Approvals of the entity's creation, proposals, negotiations, letters of intent, or other announcements which do not announce a completed sale or a binding sale agreement will not count.
The entity need not be named FIFA Forward Enterprise, provided it fulfills the description above.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
