Dana White's Contender Series: Roman Puga vs. Taner Trembley (Featherweight, Main Card)

Game context
Roman Puga enters the featherweight main card bout on Dana White's Contender Series Week 2 with a 5-1 record featuring four knockouts, recent LFA wins by stoppage, and a power-oriented striking approach from his California base. Taner Trembley counters with an unblemished 7-0 mark, a high finish rate driven by five submissions, and a Minnesota-based game built around grappling control under the Start BJJ affiliation. The August 18 matchup at the UFC Apex pits Puga's knockout threat and regional experience against Trembley's longer win streak and submission threat, with both fighters seeking a UFC contract on the line in what shapes up as a stylistic clash between finishing styles. No reported injuries or roster changes have altered the bout as of the latest reports.
