Game context
The San Francisco Giants (48-65) enter the series at Globe Life Field after Logan Webb's six shutout innings and Jung Hoo Lee's two-homer performance fueled a 5-1 win over the Texas Rangers on August 3. San Francisco, firmly out of NL West contention and active sellers at the trade deadline, has leaned on its rotation and timely power to snap a skid. The Rangers (55-57), mired in a stretch of offensive struggles and consecutive losses, face mounting pressure to regain momentum for a potential wild-card push in the AL West. Home-field advantage, recent bullpen usage, and lineup adjustments following roster moves could influence the next contest, though both clubs' inconsistent recent form leaves room for variance in a low-stakes matchup.
