Game context
Houston Astros enter this three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels with a clear edge rooted in their 63-62 AL West standing compared to the Angels' 49-76 record. Home-field advantage at Daikin Park, combined with stronger recent form and roster depth, shapes trader consensus around the Astros as the more likely winner. Key variables include starting pitching matchups, the status of Astros infielders recovering from recent ailments, and Angels bullpen availability amid multiple IL placements. Late-August scheduling offers both clubs limited rest advantages, while head-to-head history and division implications further influence implied probabilities for individual game outcomes.
