Game context
The Cleveland Guardians (51-46) visit the Tampa Bay Rays (56-38) for a three-game series at Tropicana Field starting July 24, with the Rays holding home-field edge and the AL East lead. Key roster factors include Cleveland's absence of third baseman José Ramírez (hand) and outfielder Angel Martínez (foot) from the 10-day IL, alongside reliever Tim Herrin (elbow), while Tampa Bay deals with Gavin Lux (shoulder) on the 60-day IL and other bullpen or position-player concerns. Recent momentum favors the Guardians after taking a series from the Marlins, though both clubs face tight playoff positioning in their divisions. Pitching matchups, bullpen reliability, and any late returns from injured lists will shape outcomes in this AL matchup.
