Game context
Both clubs enter the three-game set at Globe Life Field with depleted rosters and similar records, the Orioles at 56-59 and the Rangers at 57-58, keeping each within striking distance of the AL wild-card race. Multiple key arms remain on the injured list for Baltimore, including Chris Bassitt and Ryan Helsley, while Texas continues to manage absences for Josh Jung and several relievers. Probable starters Nathan Eovaldi and Shane Baz set up a right-handed matchup in extreme heat, where bullpen depth and late-inning execution often decide outcomes. Recent offensive inconsistencies and limited rest could further shape lineup decisions and game flow for the weekend series.
