ITF WOMEN - SINGLES: W50 Kursumlijska Banja (Serbia), clay: Anja Stankovic vs Alina Granwehr

Game context
Anja Stankovic, the 21-year-old Serbian ranked near 530-650, enters this W50 clay-court round-of-16 matchup after strong recent results in the same Serbian swing, including multiple W15 titles and a three-set comeback win over Ikumi Yamazaki in the prior round. Alina Granwehr, the Swiss player ranked around 318-322 and seeded seventh, brings superior overall ranking and a recent W35 clay title from Aix-les-Bains, along with a solid 19-9 clay record in 2026. The all-clay surface favors both, but Granwehr’s higher ranking and consistent results against stronger opposition contrast with Stankovic’s heavy local schedule and lower-tier experience. Home-country support and momentum from consecutive wins could narrow the gap for the younger player in this closely contested encounter.
