ITF MEN - SINGLES: M25 Lausanne (Switzerland), clay: Pierluigi Basile vs Florent Lagarrigue

Game context
Pierluigi Basile, the 19-year-old Italian ranked around No. 622-634, enters this M25 Lausanne clay-court matchup with stronger recent form after reaching the M25 Lesa final and posting multiple wins on the surface in August, including a straight-sets victory over Filippo Valdetara. Florent Lagarrigue, a 24-year-old Frenchman with a more limited ITF record, advanced via qualifying and followed a win over Leo Gander with a victory against Johan Nikles. Both players compete on outdoor clay, where Basile holds a clear edge in experience and results this season, though Lagarrigue benefits from proximity and any home-region familiarity in Switzerland. No prior head-to-head exists, and the encounter occurs early in the draw.
