Game context

Nottinghamshire Outlaws host Surrey at Trent Bridge in a Vitality Blast crossover fixture, with the home side riding strong recent momentum after winning five of their last six group matches to reach eight wins from 12 outings and top the Central & West standings. Surrey, sitting second in the South Group with seven victories, boasts the better net run rate among top teams but has faced a tougher recent schedule. Home conditions at Trent Bridge typically favor aggressive batting and Nottinghamshire’s pace attack, while Surrey relies on all-round depth led by Sam Curran and explosive middle-order contributions. Both sides enter with solid form and few reported absences, leaving squad depth, powerplay execution, and death bowling as the primary variables likely to shape the outcome.
