Cincinnati Open: Jan-Lennard Struff vs Alejandro Tabilo

Game context
Alejandro Tabilo enters this ATP Cincinnati Open round-of-64 clash as the stronger favorite, buoyed by a higher ranking near No. 29 and recent hard-court results that include a straight-sets Indian Wells win and a semifinal upset of Ben Shelton in Washington. The 29-year-old Chilean also reached the Rio Open final earlier in 2026 and holds a 23-19 seasonal record. Jan-Lennard Struff, at 36 and ranked outside the top 40, brings veteran experience after his Wimbledon quarterfinal run but carries a 12-14 2026 mark and has shown inconsistency on outdoor hard courts. The match pits Tabilo’s current momentum and baseline consistency against Struff’s serve-heavy style in what shapes up as a competitive early-round encounter on the Lindner Family Tennis Center courts.
