Daniel Masur4Game context
Daniel Masur faces Facundo Mena in the Augsburg Challenger quarterfinal on clay, with both players arriving on strong recent form after straight-sets wins in the round of 16. Masur, the German wild card ranked No. 392, overcame a tough all-German battle against 19-year-old Max Schoenhaus in three sets to reach this stage, drawing on his experience as a four-time participant and 2024 semifinalist at the home event. Mena, the slightly higher-ranked Argentine at No. 345, defeated qualifier Kai Wehnelt in two tight tiebreak and service-hold sets. The matchup pits Masur’s familiarity with local conditions and crowd support against Mena’s clay-court consistency, with limited head-to-head history between the two.
