Prague 2: Jakub Filip vs Nick Hardt

Jakub Filip12Game context
Nick Hardt enters the Prague Challenger first-round clash on outdoor clay as the clear ranking favorite, sitting near No. 275 with a career high of 177 and substantially more ATP-level experience than the 20-year-old Czech wild card Jakub Filip, who holds a ranking around 940. No prior head-to-head exists, leaving recent form, clay-court results, and physical conditioning as primary variables. Filip benefits from home support and strong junior credentials, including a Wimbledon boys' doubles title, but faces a steep step up against Hardt's established baseline game and recent South American clay exposure. The surface favors consistent rallying, where Hardt's higher-level match play typically provides an edge, though the young local could capitalize on any early nerves or unforced errors in the opening sets.
