Cincinnati Open: Titouan Droguet vs Matteo Berrettini

Game context
Matteo Berrettini enters as the higher-ranked and more experienced player on outdoor hard courts at the Cincinnati Open, where his powerful serve has historically created advantages, though recent hip and fitness issues have limited his consistency since a Roland Garros quarterfinal retirement. Titouan Droguet, a qualifier ranked around No. 119, arrives with strong momentum after dropping no sets in qualifying and posting solid results in prior events, including a near-upset of a top player. Their first meeting pits Berrettini’s baseline power against Droguet’s improving all-court game and recent form, with traders viewing the Italian as the consensus favorite but noting that any lingering physical concerns could open the door for the Frenchman in a best-of-three format.
