National Bank Open: Zizou Bergs vs Ben Shelton

Zizou Bergs30Game context
Ben Shelton enters the National Bank Open third-round matchup as the clear market favorite, reflecting his top-10 ranking, status as defending champion, and stronger recent hard-court results compared to Zizou Bergs. Shelton, who recently captured the Stuttgart title on grass, holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge after a three-set win over Bergs on clay in Houston 2024, and he advanced comfortably past Jenson Brooksby following a first-round bye. Bergs, ranked as high as No. 34 this season after claiming his maiden ATP title in Eastbourne on grass, showed solid form by defeating Sebastián Báez but faces a significant step up in class on outdoor hard courts where Shelton has posted multiple strong Masters results this year. The hard-court surface and Shelton’s superior power and experience shape trader consensus around his implied probability.
