Cincinnati Open: Diane Parry vs Caroline Dolehide

Game context
Diane Parry and Caroline Dolehide meet in the WTA 1000 Cincinnati Open first round on hard courts, a matchup shaped by contrasting profiles and recent schedules. Parry, ranked No. 64 with a career-high near 47 after a French Open fourth-round run, brings stronger recent main-draw results but has dropped early matches in Toronto and Prague. Dolehide, at No. 256 in singles despite a top-100 doubles ranking and prior top-40 peaks, has compiled solid challenger wins in Vancouver while seeking to translate that form into WTA-level singles success. The evenly matched implied probabilities reflect Parry’s ranking edge offset by Dolehide’s experience, hard-court comfort, and potential for an upset in a low-stakes opener where rest, serving consistency, and baseline rallies will likely decide the outcome.
