Cincinnati Open: Sara Bejlek vs Coco Gauff

Game context
Coco Gauff enters the Cincinnati Open semifinal as the clear favorite against unseeded Sara Bejlek, reflecting her No. 4 ranking, 2023 title at the event, and strong hard-court record alongside five WTA 1000 semifinals in 2026. The American advanced comfortably with a 6-2 6-2 quarterfinal win over Marta Kostyuk, showing improved net play and consistent baseline pressure. Bejlek, ranked No. 35, has generated significant momentum with five straight victories, including upsets of world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Madison Keys, and multiple Grand Slam champions, reaching her first WTA 1000 semifinal after a rapid ranking climb. Their first career meeting on outdoor hard courts favors Gauff's experience and athleticism, though Bejlek's improved confidence and recent form create realistic upset potential in the night session.
