Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers

Game context
The Texas Rangers enter this Globe Life Field matchup at 64-66 and squarely in the AL wild-card race, one game back of the final spot while chasing Houston in the division, giving them strong incentive to secure home wins down the stretch. Los Angeles sits at 52-78, well out of contention in the AL West, though the Angels have posted a 6-4 mark over their last 10 games, including a 3-0 victory in the series opener. Key Rangers injuries include Josh Jung and Kyle Higashioka on the IL plus recent wrist issues for Jake Burger, while the Angels continue to manage multiple pitching absences such as Yusei Kikuchi. Home-field advantage, bullpen depth, and playoff implications favor Texas, but the Angels’ recent offensive outbursts and Trout’s presence keep the outcome competitive.
