Roehampton 2: Inaki Montes-De La Torre vs Oskari Paldanius

Game context
Inaki Montes-De La Torre enters this Roehampton 2 Challenger qualifying match as the clear favorite against Oskari Paldanius, backed by his ATP ranking of 275 compared to the Finn’s 1052 and a 1-0 head-to-head edge that includes a straight-sets hard-court victory in February 2025. The Spaniard arrives with a strong 32-13 record in 2026, recent form that includes a straight-sets win over Ponchet in the prior qualifying round, and proven results across surfaces. Paldanius, a 19-year-old, has posted a 16-16 mark this season with solid recent wins on hard to reach this stage, yet faces a sizable gap in experience and consistency at Challenger level. The hard-court setting and both players’ fresh legs from the draw favor the higher-ranked player’s baseline game and return pressure.
