Vancouver: Dane Sweeny vs Duncan Chan

Dane Sweeny66Game context
Dane Sweeny enters the Vancouver Challenger first-round matchup as the clear favorite against lower-ranked Duncan Chan, driven primarily by his ATP ranking advantage near 122 compared to Chan's position around 665. Sweeny, an Australian with recent main-draw experience at the Australian Open where he defeated Gael Monfils in a four-set marathon, brings stronger overall form and hard-court results from 2026 events. The hard-court surface in Vancouver favors Sweeny's baseline game and experience in Challenger-level events, while Chan, a local player, faces a significant step up in competition. No confirmed injuries or late withdrawals have altered the field, though Sweeny's post-Wimbledon scheduling and travel could factor into recovery. Trader consensus reflects these gaps in pedigree and recent results rather than any head-to-head history.
