Los Cabos Open: Cameron Norrie vs Aleksandar Kovacevic

Game context
Cameron Norrie enters the Los Cabos Open first-round matchup against Aleksandar Kovacevic as the higher-ranked player (around No. 39) with a strong historical record on the hard-court ATP 250 event, including a 2021 title. However, Norrie has dealt with a rib injury that forced a first-round retirement at the French Open in May 2026 and contributed to inconsistent recent results. Kovacevic, ranked in the 70-93 range after a career-high of 54 earlier in the year, brings momentum from a notable upset of Felix Auger-Aliassime in Hamburg and solid hard-court performances. The hard surface favors baseline rallies where both players compete effectively, though Kovacevic’s recent form and lack of major injury concerns could narrow the implied probability gap reflected in trader pricing.
