Game context

Hugo Gaston holds the edge in this Nottingham 2 Challenger first-round matchup on grass, driven by his higher ATP ranking near 117-119 and fifth-seed status against world No. 222 Felix Gill. The pair has no prior head-to-head record. Gaston arrives after a Roland Garros campaign that ended in the round of 64, while Gill enters on strong recent grass form, including straight-set wins over Ugo Blanchet and Kamil Majchrzak in the Birmingham Challenger plus a three-set victory in Ilkley qualifying. As a British wildcard, Gill benefits from home support and momentum on the surface, though Gaston’s greater experience at this level shapes trader consensus around his implied probability of advancing.
