Marta Kostyuk enters Wimbledon as the clear favorite against Anna Blinkova, backed by her No. 13 ranking and strong 2026 results that include a Roland Garros semifinal run and multiple deep WTA 1000 showings. The Ukrainian has prior Wimbledon success reaching the third round in both 2023 and 2024, though an ankle injury forced her withdrawal from Queen’s and left her without grass-court matches until the tournament began; she opened with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win over Nadia Podoroska. Blinkova sits outside the top 100 at No. 114 with a 13-19 record this season and has struggled for consistency, exiting early in recent events including qualifying at Bad Homburg. Their head-to-head favors Kostyuk 1-0 following a straight-sets victory in Miami, and the grass surface amplifies the ranking and power gap between the players.
