Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox

Game context
Toronto Blue Jays (35-38) visit Fenway Park to face the Boston Red Sox (29-41) in the middle game of a three-game AL East series on June 17, 2026. The Jays took the opener 6-1 behind three home runs and strong starting pitching, improving to 14-20 on the road while staying within striking distance of the division lead. Boston, 12-23 at home under interim management, has one of the league’s weakest home records and sits 14.5 games back. Left-hander Jake Bennett (5.28 ERA in limited starts) gets the nod for the Red Sox against a Toronto lineup showing recent power, while the Blue Jays turn to a bullpen game or spot starter after scratching their original option. Both clubs carry multiple injured-list players, adding uncertainty to lineups and bullpen depth. Trader pricing reflects Boston’s modest home-edge advantage despite the inferior record.
