Game context
Both teams enter the late-June series at Rogers Centre with nearly identical sub-.500 records, the Rangers sitting third in the AL West and the Blue Jays third in the AL East. Nathan Eovaldi is slated to oppose Dylan Cease in the opener, a matchup that tilts toward Toronto given Cease’s lower ERA and stronger strikeout rate this season. Texas continues to manage multiple absences, including shortstop Corey Seager and center fielder Evan Carter on the injured list, which has thinned the lineup and affected recent offensive output. Toronto’s home environment and bullpen depth add further context for traders assessing implied probabilities in what remains a closely contested interleague set.
