Game context
The Rangers (33-34) enter the June 11 matchup at Kauffman Stadium with stronger recent momentum, having won seven of their last nine games and taking two of the first three in the series, including a 6-4 extra-innings victory on June 10. Their offense has heated up since mid-May behind Josh Jung’s six-game hitting streak and improved production from the middle of the order, while the pitching staff has limited damage on the road. The Royals (28-40) sit last in the AL Central and have dropped ground despite a 5-3 win on June 9 powered by Jac Caglianone’s two homers; Kyle Isbel’s plantar fascia injury further thins their outfield. Michael Wacha’s strong home ERA (2.45) offers the Royals a solid matchup against Kumar Rocker, but Texas’s bullpen depth and stolen-base efficiency remain advantages in a close contest.
