Game context
The Chicago Cubs (34-34) enter the June 11 matchup at Coors Field on a losing streak and sitting at .500 in the NL Central, hampered by multiple rotation injuries that have left their staff thin and inconsistent. Probable starter Edward Cabrera (3-3, 4.99 ERA) faces Rockies right-hander Ryan Feltner (2-1, 4.22 ERA) in a contest where both teams rank near the bottom in pitching metrics. Colorado (26-42), owners of MLB's worst record, benefits from the high-altitude environment that inflates offense and has already taken two of the first three games in the series. Recent Cubs bullpen reliability offers some stability, but ongoing roster health concerns and the Rockies' home scoring edge shape trader focus on the outcome.
