Mackenzie McDonald66⁵6Game context
Mackenzie McDonald enters the first round of Wimbledon qualifying as the clear favorite against lower-ranked Felipe Meligeni Alves, reflecting McDonald’s superior ATP ranking near the top 100 and greater experience on grass. McDonald arrives with a modest 2-4 singles record in 2026 but has shown flashes of form, including a notable win earlier in the year, while recent grass-court outings at events like the Libéma Open underscore his adaptation to the surface. Meligeni Alves, ranked outside the top 800 and using protected ranking, has minimal recent singles activity and limited results at this level. The grass-court conditions at Roehampton favor McDonald’s movement and serve, with no reported injuries or withdrawals altering the matchup. Traders view the outcome as heavily influenced by ranking disparity and surface familiarity ahead of the June 22 encounter.
