National Bank Open: Jiri Lehecka vs Rafael Jodar

Game context
Jiri Lehecka enters the National Bank Open round of 16 on outdoor hard courts as the higher-ranked player at world No. 12, fresh off straight-sets victories over Vit Kopriva and Alexander Blockx while chasing ATP Finals qualification. Rafael Jodar, the 19-year-old Spaniard ranked No. 15, arrives with strong momentum after consecutive upsets, including a win over 11th-seeded Lorenzo Musetti, and holds an 8-2 record in his last 10 matches. This marks their first meeting. Lehecka’s experience and recent consistency contrast with Jodar’s rapid rise and aggressive baseline game on hard courts, where both have shown comfort this week at IGA Stadium. No late withdrawals or injury concerns have surfaced, keeping focus on form and the young contender’s ability to maintain his current level against a proven top-15 opponent.
