Katerina Siniakova24Game context
Katerina Siniakova enters this Wimbledon round-of-64 grass-court match with extensive major experience but a mixed 2026 singles record of 14-13, including recent losses to Pegula in Berlin and Samsonova in Bad Homburg. Nikola Bartunkova, ranked near No. 46-48, arrives with strong momentum after upsetting Mertens and reaching the Berlin quarterfinals on grass, where she also secured a Top-20 win earlier in the tournament. The 19-year-old Czech has shown improved consistency on the surface following her Australian Open third-round result, while Siniakova balances a heavy doubles schedule that includes a recent Roland Garros title. Head-to-head history is limited, and the matchup pits Siniakova’s veteran court craft against Bartunkova’s aggressive baseline game and recent form on the Wimbledon surface.
