Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres

Game context
The Los Angeles Dodgers hold a firm grip on first place in the NL West at 49-28, nine games ahead of the San Diego Padres (39-36), entering their three-game series at Petco Park beginning June 26. The Dodgers' superior run differential and consistent performance at home and on the road underpin trader expectations, while the Padres seek to close the gap through improved offensive output and bullpen stability. Recent interleague results show both clubs navigating tight scheduling, with the Dodgers preparing rotation options including Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the Padres relying on arms like Dylan Cease or Michael King. Injury management remains relevant for San Diego's lineup depth, and Petco Park's pitching-friendly conditions could influence scoring trends in the upcoming matchup.
