Game context
Both teams enter this three-game series at Rogers Centre with sub-.500 records, the Astros at 35-41 and fourth in the AL West while the Blue Jays sit at 36-38 and third in the AL East. Houston’s rotation features Hunter Brown in at least one start amid a rash of injuries that include LaMonte Wade Jr. and Nick Allen on the IL. Toronto counters with arms such as Kevin Gausman and benefits from recent momentum, including a current win streak. Late-June weather, bullpen depth, and any last-minute lineup adjustments will shape the outcome, with the visitor’s road performance and the home side’s offensive production against right-handers serving as primary variables.
