Game context
The Atlanta Braves enter their three-game road series against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park with a strong 46-25 record and first-place standing in the NL East, contrasting the Padres’ 37-35 mark and second-place NL West position. Atlanta’s probable starters include Martín Pérez and Chris Sale, offering ERA advantages over San Diego’s options like Michael King and Griffin Canning in the early games.
