Tampa Bay Rays vs. Los Angeles Angels

Game context
The Tampa Bay Rays enter the series at Angel Stadium with a strong 40-26 record and first place in the AL East, fueled by solid recent form and depth despite road challenges, while the Los Angeles Angels sit at 28-42 and near the bottom of the AL West. The Angels snapped a skid with a 4-3 win in the June 12 opener behind effective bullpen work, setting up a competitive three-game set. Key roster factors include multiple 10-day IL placements on both sides, such as Rays outfielder Jake Fraley (groin) and Angels infielder Vaughn Grissom (side), which shape lineup decisions and bullpen usage. Probable starters and home-field dynamics at Angel Stadium remain central, alongside the Rays’ stronger overall standings position heading into the June 13-14 contests.
