Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians

Game context
The Cleveland Guardians (38-33) enter a three-game AL Central series at Progressive Field holding a stronger position than the Detroit Tigers (29-41), with recent momentum including a 3-2 win in the June 12 opener where Guardians starter Tanner Bibee limited damage and Detroit’s Jack Flaherty exited after three innings with lower-leg discomfort. Tarik Skubal’s return on the 13th gives the Tigers a high-upside arm (sub-3.00 ERA) against Joey Cantillo, while Gavin Williams faces Casey Mize on the 14th; both clubs carry bullpen questions and select IL placements that have thinned rotations. Recent head-to-head results show Cleveland taking four of five in May, though Detroit’s offense has posted low run totals in those contests amid ongoing lineup adjustments.
