Game context

Tommy Paul enters the HSBC Championships first-round matchup against Jaume Munar as the clear market favorite, buoyed by his 2024 title at Queen’s Club and proven grass-court pedigree that includes deep Wimbledon runs and strong serving plus movement on the surface. The American, ranked in the top 30 with a solid 2026 win-loss record, has been actively practicing on site ahead of the ATP 500 event. Munar, ranked outside the top 35 with an 8-10 record this season and limited grass-court success, faces a tough stylistic test against Paul’s all-court game and recent form that includes a clay title in Houston. The grass-court setting and Paul’s home-surface comfort heavily shape trader consensus on the outcome.
