Seattle Mariners vs. Washington Nationals

Game context
Both teams enter the interleague series at Nationals Park with nearly identical 36-34 and 35-34 records, placing the Mariners atop the AL West and the Nationals in the NL East middle. Recent form and pitching matchups shape sentiment, including Luis Castillo facing Cade Cavalli on June 13 and similar starters the following day. Mariners injury reports list Cal Raleigh (oblique), J.P. Crawford (hand), and Brendan Donovan (groin) among those sidelined or limited, potentially affecting lineup depth and defensive alignment on the road. The Nationals benefit from home-field rest advantages during this East Coast swing, while both clubs monitor bullpen usage and recent scoring trends ahead of the finale. Weather at Nationals Park and any late roster adjustments remain secondary variables for game-day resolution.
