Miami Marlins vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Game context
The Miami Marlins enter this three-game series at PNC Park riding a seven-game win streak and 9-1 run in June, powered by improved offense (.292 team average over recent contests) and MLB's best ERA in the prior week. Pittsburgh counters with ace Paul Skenes but faces mounting challenges after dropping five of six, including a 29th-ranked bullpen ERA over the last seven days, plus the recent placement of Oneil Cruz on the injured list with a broken hand. Both clubs sit near .500, with Miami holding momentum from its longest winning streak of the season while the Pirates deal with additional roster absences at catcher and shortstop. The opener on June 12 ended 8-3 in Miami's favor, highlighting the visitors' current edge in form and pitching depth.
